1) Enjoy a riverboat cruise.

Enjoy a romantic evening under the stars aboard an authentic riverboat, the Southern Empress. The elegant setting is reminiscent of a bygone era, making it the perfect choice for a memorable night out. No plans for Sunday brunch? The Southern Empress hosts a lovely brunch cruise that will start your week off on a high note.

2) Get out on the lake.

There is so much to do on Lake Conroe.  Visit the Waterpoint Marina, where you can charter a luxurious yacht for a special occasion. Rent a party boat that fits up to 35, or a houseboat for a weekend getaway.  Want to mix fitness with fun?  Rent a stand-up paddleboard.

3) Stroll the streets of historic downtown Conroe.

Take a stroll down the historic streets of downtown Conroe and experience the charm of this eclectic area. Enjoy dining, live performances, festivals, shopping, and more.  On the first Thursday of every month visit the Farmer’s Market to indulge in wonderful food and fresh produce.

4) Visit a local winery or brewery.

Conroe is home to several local breweries, including B-52 Brewing Co., Copperhead Brewery, and Southern Star Brewery. These breweries offer outdoor games, food trucks and more. B-52 also hosts a local farmer’s market the first Saturday of each month. If you enjoy wine, visit the Cork This! Winery in nearby Montgomery.

5) Fore! Hit the links.

West Fork Golf and Country Club is an 18 hole championship golf course that cuts along the west fork of the San Jacinto River. The links-style course features rolling terrain, towering hardwoods and natural wetlands that border the river. Enjoy a glass of wine in the club before setting off to the greens.

6) Go shopping in Old Town Montgomery

Old town Montgomery is a slice of history.  Experience the Lone Star Farmers market on the first Saturday of each month. Take a piece of Texas history home from one of the many antique shops, or visit the boutiques for something new.
